Google Testing Thinner Shop Deals Search Bar

Google has started testing a slimmer version of the "shop deals" search bar on both desktop and mobile.

This feature was first rolled out last November from the shop deals banner in the middle of the search results page.

Umair Khan noticed this change and shared a screenshot. He couldn't replicate it for the initial query but saw the deals bar for Memorial Day in other queries. However, he prefers the banner format over the search filter format at the top of the page.
