Google has received approval to sell e-books and audiobooks directly through its iOS app, Google Play Books. Previously, developers needed special permission to link users to their websites for purchases. With the new “Get book” button in the app, users can now easily navigate to the Google Play website to complete their purchases.
Readers have long accessed Google Play Books via the iOS app, Android app, or web reader, allowing for cross-device purchases and reading. The introduction of the “Get book” button simplifies the buying process within the iOS app.
Additionally, Google Play Family Library enables users to share books with family members, creating a digital collection accessible on various devices, including Android and Apple.
