A month ago, Google temporarily removed the transit time label support page from the Merchant Center. This page, which previously returned a 404 error, was subsequently restored by Google. At the time, this led to some uncertainty about the status of the transit time label feature.
Emmanuel has now observed a new notification in the Merchant Center regarding the transit time label. Specifically, when merchants are configuring shipping settings under the "Transit time (days)" section, they see the following message: "Transit time label is deprecated".
Interestingly, despite this deprecation notice, the transit time label support page remains online and accessible. This creates a somewhat contradictory situation where the feature is marked as deprecated but its documentation is still available.
This update provides some clarity on the status of the transit time label feature in Google Merchant Center, although questions remain about its future availability. It appears that while Google is signaling a move away from this particular feature, they have not yet fully removed support for it.
Merchants who have been using the transit time label may need to monitor this situation closely and consider how these changes might affect their product listings in the future.
