BigQuery Data Transfer Expands DV360 Integration with New Tables

Google has announced a significant update to the BigQuery Data Transfer Service, expanding its capabilities to include campaign reporting and configuration data from Display & Video 360 (DV360). This enhancement, now generally available (GA), streamlines data integration for digital marketers and analysts.

Key Features of the Update:

1. New Data Tables: The service now transfers Creative, Partner, and Advertiser tables, among others.
2. Automated Data Management: Users can schedule and manage recurring load jobs for DV360 reporting and configuration data.
3. Comprehensive Data Transfer: Supports Data Transfer v2 (Display & Video DTv2) files.
4. Extended Data Retention: DV360 retains data transfer files for up to 60 days.

Data Transfer Specifics:

• Frequency: Daily transfers, with configurable time of day.
• Refresh Window: Last 2 days (not configurable).
• Maximum Backfill: Up to 60 days.

Data Ingestion Process:

• Data is loaded into date-partitioned BigQuery tables.
• Multiple transfers or backfills for the same date overwrite the specific date partition, preventing data duplication.

This update significantly enhances the capabilities of BigQuery for digital advertising professionals, offering more comprehensive and streamlined data integration from Display & Video 360. It enables more efficient data analysis and reporting for campaign performance and configuration management.
