Amazon Titan Image Generator is a generative artificial intelligence (AI) foundation model that allows users to create and refine realistic, studio-quality images using English natural language prompts. It's now generally available in Amazon Bedrock and offers capabilities for generating new images, editing images, and instant customization of images.

To use instant image customization with Amazon Titan Image Generator, you can provide up to five reference images along with a text prompt. The model can generate new images of a subject in different scenes, transfer the style from the reference images, or mix styles from multiple references. This process is done without the need for additional prompt engineering or fine-tuning of the model. You can interact with Amazon Bedrock using the AWS SDK for Python (Boto3) to perform tasks such as generating images and applying the instant customization feature.

Watermark detection for Amazon Titan Image Generator is a feature that identifies images generated by Amazon Titan by detecting an invisible watermark embedded in the images. This watermark is designed to be tamper-resistant and helps to increase transparency around AI-generated content. The feature is intended to promote responsible AI use and reduce the spread of misinformation. It is available in the Amazon Bedrock console and can be accessed using the new DetectGeneratedContent API (preview).

To detect watermarks in images using Amazon Bedrock, you can either use the Amazon Bedrock console to upload an image and check for watermarks or use the DetectGeneratedContent API (preview). The API allows you to confirm whether an image was generated by Titan Image Generator by checking for the existence of the watermark. The response includes a detection result and a confidence level, indicating the likelihood that the image was generated by the model.

Amazon Titan Image Generator and its watermark detection feature are available in the AWS Regions US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon). The DetectGeneratedContent API in Amazon Bedrock is also available in these regions in public preview. Users can check the full Region list for future updates.
