Amazon has announced the general availability of Amazon Titan Image Generator and watermark detection API in Amazon Bedrock. The Titan Image Generator is a generative AI foundation model that creates realistic images using English natural language prompts. Images generated contain an invisible watermark to help identify AI-generated images and reduce misinformation.
The Titan Image Generator allows instant image customization. Users can generate new images of a subject by providing up to five reference images, creating the subject in different scenes while preserving its key features, and transferring the style from the reference images to new images.
The watermark detection feature is available in the Amazon Bedrock console. It allows users to identify images generated by Amazon Titan. The watermarks are tamper-resistant, promoting transparency around AI-generated content. The feature comes with a confidence score representing the confidence level in watermark detection.
The DetectGeneratedContent API in Amazon Bedrock checks for the existence of this watermark and helps confirm whether an image was generated by Titan Image Generator.
The Titan Image Generator, the new customization capabilities, and watermark detection are available today in the AWS Regions US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon). The new DetectGeneratedContent API is available in public preview in the same AWS Regions. Titan Image Generator is also available in PartyRock, an Amazon Bedrock playground.
