WhatsApp is introducing new features to enhance user experience by helping manage chats, transfer data, and express emotions more easily. These updates focus on organization, convenience, and creativity within the app.
Managing Storage Efficiently
Users can now free up space by deleting large files directly within any chat through the Manage Storage option, without losing the entire conversation. There is also an option to clear only media files while preserving chat history.
Simplified Cross-Platform Chat Transfer
WhatsApp’s chat transfer feature now supports moving chat history from iOS to Android, as well as within the same platform. This allows users to seamlessly carry their conversations, photos, and videos when switching devices.
Dual Accounts on iOS
iOS users can now log into two WhatsApp accounts simultaneously, similar to Android. This eliminates the need for multiple phones to separate work and personal chats. The active account is clearly indicated by the profile picture in the bottom tab.
Enhanced Expression with Stickers
WhatsApp suggests stickers as users type emojis, making it easier to replace emojis with stickers that better capture their mood and add more vivid expression to chats.
Photo Editing with Meta AI
Users can use Meta AI to edit photos directly in chats before sending them. This includes removing distractions, changing backgrounds, or applying creative styles. Availability of these AI features may vary.
Improved AI Writing Help
The Writing Help feature can now draft suggested responses based on the conversation context, helping users craft messages while maintaining complete chat privacy.
These features are currently rolling out and will soon be available to all users, aiming to make WhatsApp simpler and more enjoyable to use.
