TikTok to Showcase AANHPI Creators and Brands This Heritage Month

For AANHPI Heritage Month, TikTok has announced a new line-up of special event programming which includes showcasing AANHPI musicians on the sounds page for greater exposure, highlighting inspiring and diverse AANHPI creators and brands, and promoting AANHPI brands through the #ShopAPI TikTok Shop hashtag challenge. Additionally, TikTok will highlight a range of top AANHPI creators throughout the month.

TikTok plans to promote AANHPI musicians and creators by:

• Showcasing AANHPI musicians on the app's sounds page to provide them with more exposure.
• Shining a spotlight on diverse AANHPI creators and brands who use TikTok to celebrate their heritage and grow their businesses.
• Encouraging users to shop from AANHPI brands as part of the #ShopAPI TikTok Shop hashtag challenge.
• Highlighting top AANHPI creators throughout the month.
• Recognizing 15 business owners and innovators on the 2024 TikTok AANHPI Visionary Voices list.

The TikTok AANHPI Visionary Voices list is an initiative by TikTok that recognizes 15 Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander business owners and innovators who are visionaries in their fields and making a positive impact on and beyond TikTok. These honorees are forging incredible career paths in various sectors such as entertainment, fashion, wellness, food, music, film, and more. This is the fourth time TikTok has run its AANHPI Visionary Voices push, which has significantly helped creators from these communities gain more exposure and opportunities within the app.
