With Reddit’s Daily Active Uniques growing 19% year-over-year and ad conversions doubling, Max campaigns aim to help advertisers reach the right audiences more effectively by optimizing targeting, creative rotation, placements, and budget allocation in real-time.
Enhanced Performance and Ease of Use
Max campaigns reduce manual effort while allowing advertisers to maintain strategic control. Alpha tests with over 600 advertisers showed significant improvements: Brooks Running experienced a 37% decrease in cost per click and 27% more clicks without manual adjustments, while other testers saw 17% lower CPA and 27% more conversions on average compared to traditional campaigns. Setup is streamlined, with features like AI-generated Reddit-ready creative assets, headline suggestions using trending Reddit language, and thumbnail adjustments. Upcoming tools include AI-based video cropping for easier video imports.
AI-Powered Audience Insights
A unique feature of Max campaigns is the Top Audience Personas report, which uses AI to cluster audiences into relevant personas (e.g., new parents, ambitious home cooks) and reveals which personas engage most with campaigns and their current interests. This insight combines campaign data with Reddit’s vast Community Intelligence™, derived from over 23 billion posts and comments, providing advertisers with deeper understanding of their audience and campaign performance.
Industry Feedback and Launch Details

Max campaigns beta is launching this week for traffic and conversion objectives to select advertisers, with broader access and Top Audience Persona reporting rolling out in the coming weeks. Advertisers can start by selecting Traffic or Conversions objectives in the Advanced Create campaign setup.
