Reddit has announced that all advertisers are now eligible to serve ads between comments on conversation pages when running conversation ads. This expansion comes with enhanced brand safety features through new partnerships with major verification services.
The March 26, 2025 announcement builds on updates from last year, which included a refreshed design and enhanced brand safety features for conversation ads. Previously, Reddit had been testing additional inventory deeper within conversation pages, but this capability is now broadly available.
According to Reddit's internal data, advertisers using multi-placement strategies (running both feed and conversation ads together) experience 12% lower costs than those who exclusively target the feed.
Automatic Opt-In with Safety Controls
All advertisers using conversation ads will automatically be opted into available ad slots throughout the comments page. Reddit emphasizes that these placements will meet their specified brand safety requirements, giving advertisers control over where their ads appear.
Enhanced Third-Party Verification
To address brand safety concerns, Reddit has partnered with both DoubleVerify and Integral Ad Science (IAS) to ensure all inventory on conversation pages is measurable with their brand safety and suitability reporting offerings.
This verification capability allows even the most brand-conscious advertisers to confidently activate ads across Reddit's conversation pages while verifying that ad delivery aligns with their brand suitability standards.
