LinkedIn is enhancing its video experience with a new Trends feature for users in the US, allowing them to discover videos centered on workplace stories, industry news, and career topics. Examples of trending topics include WFH hacks, desk setups, corporate culture, and decoding passive-aggressive emails.
Trends are prominently displayed at the top of the Video tab, enabling users to scroll through related videos vertically. Additionally, video carousels in the feed showcase specific trends with clear labels for easy navigation. Users can also contribute by uploading their own videos related to a trend, which may be featured by LinkedIn's editorial team.
This initiative aims to simplify the discovery of relevant content on trending topics while encouraging users to share their perspectives, potentially reaching wider audiences. LinkedIn's approach reflects a blend of professional and personal content, continuing its evolution towards a more engaging video platform reminiscent of TikTok.
