LinkedIn is introducing new analytics features, “Saves” and “Sends,” to enhance user insights into post performance. The “Saves” feature will track how many users bookmark a post, reflecting its value and engagement level. This metric is increasingly important as users utilize bookmarks for future reference. The “Sends” feature will indicate how often a post is shared via private messages, providing insight into direct engagement through direct messaging, which is on the rise.
These new data points will enrich the existing "Engagements" metrics, allowing users to better understand audience interactions and preferences. This information can inform future content strategies and showcase post performance more effectively. LinkedIn has also rolled out other analytics tools recently, such as tracking profile viewers and follower gains from posts and custom button interactions. The goal is to support creators and brands in maximizing their presence on the platform, which has approximately 1.2 billion members.
