Version 12.0.0 of the Google Mobile Ads SDK is now available, and upgrading is recommended for the latest features and performance improvements.
The SDK has been updated to include an NS_SWIFT_NAME
for every API, aligning with Apple’s Swift API Design Guidelines. Key changes include:
- Removal of the GAD prefix from all types.
- Renaming of the GAM prefix to AdManager.
- Renaming of the GADM prefix to Mediation.
For a complete list of Swift API name changes, refer to the Swift naming support documentation.
Support for Swift 6 concurrency is being gradually introduced, starting with enhancements to ad format delegate methods. Future versions will include additional improvements.
The minimum supported Xcode version has been updated to 16.0. For a comprehensive list of changes, consult the release notes and the migration guide to prepare mobile apps for the upgrade.
