Google has integrated the Nano Banana Gemini image features into Google Search via Google Lens, introducing a new "Create mode" to unlock these capabilities. Nano Banana, originally launched in August as part of Gemini 2.5 Flash, has generated over 5 billion images through the Gemini app and is now expanding to Google Search, NotebookLM, and soon Google Photos.

Users can now use Google Lens in the Google app on Android or iOS to snap or select photos and instantly transform them with AI-powered Nano Banana features by tapping the new Create mode.
NotebookLM Enhancements
Nano Banana powers Video Overviews in NotebookLM, adding six new artistic styles such as watercolor and anime. It also generates contextual illustrations based on source material and introduces a new Brief format for quick insights.
