TikTok has introduced a new feature that allows creators to download their videos without a watermark, facilitating easier repurposing across different apps. Users now have two options when saving videos:
- Save with watermark
- Post to save without watermark
To save without a watermark, users must first upload their video to TikTok before sharing it on other platforms. This ensures TikTok gains more content while allowing users to repost watermark-free videos elsewhere. This update is significant because videos with TikTok watermarks are often restricted on platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube Shorts.
Previously, watermark-free downloads were possible through TikTok's video editing tool, CapCut, but the new feature simplifies the process for those not using other editing apps. This change helps TikTok maintain its content flow while making it easier for users to share their videos across multiple platforms without visible watermarks.
The new save without watermark option is available in the Save menu in the latest version of the TikTok app.
