LinkedIn is introducing verification badges for LinkedIn Pages to help members and customers quickly identify the official Page of an organization they intend to engage with.
Authenticity is crucial for meaningful interactions. A verification badge signals that a LinkedIn Page is official, helping organizations build trust with their audience.
How It Works
- Verification Process: Initially, only a select number of LinkedIn Pages will be verified. Verified Pages will display a shield-shaped badge next to the organization's name, visible to both Page admins and members.
- Criteria: Factors for verification include the accuracy of data points (e.g., location, website URL), active admin presence, whether the Page is claimed, and compliance with LinkedIn policies.
Availability
- Verification badges will start appearing on a limited number of Pages this month.
- Organizations can request verification and join a waitlist for future consideration. However, joining the waitlist does not guarantee verification.
- LinkedIn plans to expand the availability of verification badges in the coming months.
