LinkedIn has updated its "Top Voice" badge program, which previously allowed members to retain their blue badges indefinitely. Now, members will keep the badge for only six months, subject to regular reviews. To qualify for the badge, members must create consistent content, engage with the community, provide high-quality contributions, and share insights on professional topics while adhering to LinkedIn’s Professional Community Policies.
Previously, LinkedIn introduced gold badges based on contributions to Collaborative Articles, but this system was scrapped due to misuse by non-experts. The blue badges are awarded by LinkedIn's editorial team, making the process more selective and akin to Twitter's verification system.
The changes aim to enhance the quality of participants and ensure that only those with genuine expertise gain recognition, emphasizing the importance of active engagement and insightful contributions on the platform.
