Looker Enhances Schedule Management with New Tools and Improved Performance

Looker has introduced changes to its Schedule Management functionality, aiming to improve content distribution and admin control.

New Features

1. Updated Management Page: Looker admins now have access to a revised Scheduled Management page.

2. Performance Changes: The new interface offers improved speed and responsiveness.

3. Management Tools: Admins can now manage schedules with additional features:

   • Pagination
   • Sorting options
   • Filtering capabilities

4. Delivery Options: Users can schedule immediate or recurring deliveries of dashboards to:

   • Email
   • Webhook
   • Amazon S3 bucket
   • SFTP server
   • Third-party services (e.g., Slack)

5. Result Delivery: Looker delivers cached results when available, otherwise rerunning and caching the query.

This update adjusts the process of managing scheduled content deliveries, providing Looker admins with additional tools to oversee data distribution within their organizations.

The new Schedule Management features are now generally available to Looker users.
