Google has unveiled three enhancements to Gemini for Google Workspace. These include the integration of Gemini 1.5 Pro into the Workspace side panel, new Gemini features for the Gmail mobile app, and expanded language support for 'Help me write' in Docs and Gmail.

Starting today, Gemini in the side panel of Gmail, Docs, Drive, Slides and Sheets will use Gemini 1.5 Pro. With a longer context window and more advanced reasoning, Gemini can answer a wider variety of questions and provide more insightful responses. Plus, it's easy to get started with summaries that will appear in the side panel, suggested prompts and more.
New Gemini for Workspace features in the Gmail mobile app
Google is introducing new features in the Gmail mobile app to enhance productivity. These include:
Summarize emails: Gemini can analyze and summarize long email threads. This feature will be available to all Gemini for Workspace customers and Google One AI Premium subscribers next month.
Contextual Smart Reply: Gemini will offer detailed suggested replies based on the context of your email thread. Available to Workspace Labs users on mobile and web starting in July.
Gmail Q&A: Users can click the new Gemini icon in the mobile app to access options like "summarize this email," "list the next steps," or "suggest a reply." Available to Workspace Labs users on mobile and web starting in July.
3. Expanded language support for 'Help me write'
Google is expanding the language support for 'Help me write' in Gmail and Docs. This feature will support Spanish and Portuguese on desktop in the coming weeks, with more languages to be added over time.
Users can start using these features through the Gemini for Workspace add-ons and the Google One AI Premium plan.
