Microsoft and OpenAI are planning a $100 billion data center, 'Stargate,' which will house a supercomputer with millions of AI chips. Microsoft is expected to finance this project, which costs significantly more than most large data centers today. The launch is targeted for 2028. 'Stargate' is the largest of five installations that the companies plan to develop over the next six years. OpenAI's next AI upgrade is expected early next year.
