Google Analytics API Adds 'Comparisons' for Data Evaluation

New Comparisons feature in Google Analytics API Data API allows evaluation of data subsets side by side. Core reporting methods now support the comparisons field for configuration of comparisons requested. Users can specify a basic comparison using the dimensionFilter expression, or use a saved comparison by providing the resource name. The getMetadata method lists all saved comparisons for a property. Saved comparisons can only be created using the Google Analytics UI.

Google Analytics' Data API v1alpha now includes asynchronous reporting with report tasks for customized event data reports. New methods for report task manipulation are added. Key event dimensions and metrics replace the isConversionEvent dimension and deprecated metrics. These changes are reflected in the properties/getMetadata method.

Import Salesforce Data Directly to Google Analytics Now

New data source for data import has been added: Salesforce. Now, users can directly import data from Salesforce to Google Analytics as offline-event data. They can schedule daily or hourly imports, and select any Salesforce milestones and attributes for import. Salesforce milestones will be collected as GA4 events, and optional import of Salesforce attributes as GA4 dimensions is available.
