New UTM parameter, utm_marketing_tactic, is now available through Google Analytics Data API beta. Previously announced but only seen in Google Analytics 4 UI as utm_creative_format, it's now accessible in Data API as manual, first user, and session prefixed dimensions. This parameter represents the manual marketing tactic that led to a conversion event, such as remarketing or prospecting. It may soon be added to the reporting UI.
Server Side Data Collection Must Respect User Consent, Despite Misconceptions

Even with server-side data collection, it's not permissible to gather data that includes personal information without user consent. Misconceptions exist that meta conversion APIs can bypass cookie and consent limitations in browsers, but this is not the case. Setting up server-side tagging correctly still requires respecting user consent choices. A denied consent means no pixel firing in the browser and no data sent through the Conversion API.
