LinkedIn has introduced post boosting for Lead Generation to help businesses capture high-quality leads by turning their content into ads. This feature leverages first-party data to extend reach beyond existing LinkedIn Page followers.
Setting Up Your Campaign
To amplify an organic post from your LinkedIn Page:
- Select the post you want to promote.
- Set your budget, targeting options, campaign objective, and end date.
- Complete your lead form template.
- Launch your campaign.
Availability
Boosting for Lead Generation is available globally on both mobile and desktop.
Steps to Boost a Post
- Navigate to your LinkedIn Page from the My pages section.
- Find the eligible post in your Page feed and click the Boost button.
- Select a goal:
- Get more impressions
- Get more engagement
- Get more leads (not available for document ads)
- Choose an audience template:
- Profile based (default)
- Interests based
- LinkedIn Audience template
- Saved targeting template
Important Notes
- Member Groups will no longer be available as a targeting attribute for the EEA or Switzerland starting May 15, 2024.
- Define your audience based on the selected type.
- Save your audience if needed.
- Set a start and end date and a lifetime budget.
For Lead Generation Campaigns
- Select a lead gen form template and fill out required fields.
- Enter a privacy policy URL.
- Choose a call-to-action button for article or document posts.
- Add a headline for video posts.
- Select an ad account for billing.
Results
Once a post is boosted, a campaign is created in your ad account with the selected settings. You can review and filter boosted posts from your Page or Campaign Manager, and view or edit campaign performance and settings from your ad account in Campaign Manager.
