Grok has introduced a memory feature that allows the chatbot to remember past conversations, enabling it to provide personalized responses based on user interactions. This new capability, currently in beta on Grok.com and the Grok iOS and Android apps (excluding EU/UK), helps Grok learn user preferences for more relevant recommendations.
Key Features
Personalized Responses: Grok recalls details from previous chats to tailor future recommendations and answers.
Transparency and Control: Users can view what Grok remembers and have the option to delete specific memories by tapping the π icon (coming soon to Android).
Beta Availability: The memory feature is in beta testing, with plans to expand to the Grok experience on X (formerly Twitter).
Disabling the Feature: Users can turn off the memory feature through their Data Controls settings.
Referenced Chats: A "Referenced chats" button allows users to see which conversations Grok is using to generate responses.
