Gemini AI chatbot by Google can now customize responses based on prior conversations, as announced in a recent blog post. This new capability allows Gemini to summarize previous chats and recall shared information, eliminating the need for users to repeat themselves or sift through old threads for details.
Starting today, Gemini utilizes information from relevant past chats to provide more tailored assistance, enabling users to build on prior discussions or projects without starting anew. Users maintain control over their chat history, with options to review, delete, or manage the duration of stored information. Additionally, users can disable Gemini Apps Activity through My Activity, and Gemini may indicate when it references past chats.
This feature is currently rolling out in English for Gemini Advanced subscribers via the Google One AI Premium Plan on both web and mobile apps, with plans to expand to more languages and Google Workspace Business and Enterprise customers in the coming weeks.
