BigQuery Now Allows Drag-and-Drop Tabs

TL;DR BigQuery's July 2024 updates include new Cloud Console features allowing users to drag tabs to open new columns or reposition them, currently in preview. Analytics Hub now offers generally available features such as making exchanges and listings publicly discoverable, highlighting listings in the Featured section, and generating unauthenticated URLs for public listings. Data publishers can also share Pub/Sub topics and manage subscriptions in Analytics Hub, which is in preview.

BigQuery Now Allows Drag-and-Drop Tabs

BigQuery released updates for July 2024, including enhancements to the Cloud Console, Analytics Hub, and data sharing capabilities.

Cloud Console Updates

Drag and Drop Tabs: Users can now drag a tab in the details pane to open a new column for comparing tabs or reposition it within the current or adjacent column. This feature is currently in preview.

Analytics Hub Features

Public Discoverability: Exchanges and listings can now be made publicly discoverable.
Featured Listings: Listings can be highlighted in the Featured section of the Analytics Hub catalog.
Unauthenticated URLs: Public listings can generate unauthenticated URLs. These features are now generally available.

Data Sharing Enhancements

Pub/Sub Topics: Data publishers can share Pub/Sub topics and manage subscriptions within Analytics Hub. This feature is in preview.
