BigQuery released updates for July 2024, including enhancements to the Cloud Console, Analytics Hub, and data sharing capabilities.
Cloud Console Updates
Drag and Drop Tabs: Users can now drag a tab in the details pane to open a new column for comparing tabs or reposition it within the current or adjacent column. This feature is currently in preview.
Analytics Hub Features
- Public Discoverability: Exchanges and listings can now be made publicly discoverable.
- Featured Listings: Listings can be highlighted in the Featured section of the Analytics Hub catalog.
- Unauthenticated URLs: Public listings can generate unauthenticated URLs. These features are now generally available.
Data Sharing Enhancements
Pub/Sub Topics: Data publishers can share Pub/Sub topics and manage subscriptions within Analytics Hub. This feature is in preview.
