Affiliate link owners affected by the Manual Spam Action or the Spam Brain Update are advised to verify the presence of REL SPONSORED on all their external affiliate links. This could prevent such issues. If it's absent, it should be added immediately. Although Google has previously accepted 'no follow', it's recommended to test 'sponsored' due to Google's explicit emphasis on it. This might not fix all site issues but it's an easy check and fix.
