Google Updates Ads Compliance for New US State Privacy Laws and Universal Opt-Out

Google Updates Ads Compliance for New US State Privacy Laws and Universal Opt-Out

Over 2024, privacy laws in Florida, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and Colorado will take effect. The Colorado Privacy Act will enforce its Universal Opt-Out Mechanism (UOOM). Google will offer compliance tools and act as a service provider for Restricted Data Processing (RDP). Google will receive Global Privacy Controls from users to disable ad targeting. Advertisers may see less personalized ads and reduced functionality in Customer Match, Audiences API, and Remarketing lists.
